For athletes competing in Madrid, consider staying in neighborhoods like Barajas for ultimate convenience to the venue at IFEMA. Alternatively, Salamanca offers a more upscale experience with excellent dining and shopping, and it's easily accessible via public transport. When it comes to food, explore the charming tapas bars around Plaza de Santa Ana for authentic Spanish flavors, or head to the Chamberí district for a mix of traditional and modern eateries. What your training plan covers
A HYROX race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.
Pure Running
Running makes up more than 50% of a HYROX race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 8 km of running.
Functional Station Training
Targeted strength and conditioning for the 8 HYROX stations. Sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls, and SkiErg.
Compromised Running
The true separator in HYROX. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.
"I was skeptical about another fitness app, but TrainRox is different. It's built specifically for HYROX, not adapted from generic CrossFit templates."
