The Barra Olímpica venue is accessible via public transport and ride-sharing services. The nearest major airport is Rio de Janeiro–Galeão International Airport (GIG), approximately a 45-60 minute drive depending on traffic. To reach the venue using public transport, take the Metro Line 4 (Orange Line) towards Barra da Tijuca and alight at the Jardim Oceânico station. From there, you can transfer to a local bus or take a taxi/ride-share for the remaining distance to Av. Salvador Allende, 6555. Taxis and ride-sharing apps like Uber are readily available throughout the city and offer a direct route to the venue.

For athletes competing at the Barra Olímpica, staying in the Barra da Tijuca district offers the most convenience. This area boasts a wide range of accommodations, from upscale hotels to comfortable guesthouses, many within easy reach of the venue. Exploring the local culinary scene in Barra da Tijuca means discovering diverse options. You'll find everything from casual beachside kiosks serving fresh seafood and açaí bowls to sophisticated restaurants offering international and Brazilian cuisine. Look for churrascarias for a classic steakhouse experience or seek out 'botecos' for delicious petiscos (appetizers) and local beers, perfect for refueling after a tough training session or race day.

What your training plan covers
A HYROX race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.
Pure Running
Running makes up more than 50% of a HYROX race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 8 km of running.
Functional Station Training
Targeted strength and conditioning for the 8 HYROX stations. Sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls, and SkiErg.
Compromised Running
The true separator in HYROX. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.
"I was skeptical about another fitness app, but TrainRox is different. It's built specifically for HYROX, not adapted from generic CrossFit templates."
