How to Get There +

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is easily accessible. The nearest major airport is Melbourne Airport (MEL), approximately a 30-40 minute drive away depending on traffic. From the airport, taxis or ride-sharing services are readily available. Public transport is also a convenient option. Take the SkyBus from the airport to Southern Cross Station, then catch a tram (routes 96, 109, or 112) towards South Melbourne or Port Melbourne and alight at the stop closest to the venue. Trams run frequently along the city's free tram zone, which includes stops near the venue.

Expected weather in December: 21-26°C (70-79°F), 50-65% humidity

For HYROX Melbourne 2026, staying near the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre offers unparalleled convenience. The South Wharf precinct itself has several hotels, providing easy walking access to the venue. Adjacent neighborhoods like the CBD (Central Business District) and Docklands are also excellent options, offering a wide range of accommodation and dining.

When hunger strikes, explore the vibrant culinary scene around South Wharf and the CBD. You'll find everything from casual cafes to upscale dining. Consider restaurants along Southbank for riverfront views and diverse cuisines, or head into the CBD for laneway eateries serving up everything from authentic Italian to modern Australian fare. The area is known for its excellent coffee culture, so be sure to grab a flat white between training sessions or after your race.

Flexible Training Schedule

What your training plan covers

A HYROX race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.

Pure Running

Running makes up more than 50% of a HYROX race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 8 km of running.

Functional Station Training

Targeted strength and conditioning for the 8 HYROX stations. Sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls, and SkiErg.

Compromised Running

The true separator in HYROX. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.

"I was skeptical about another fitness app, but TrainRox is different. It's built specifically for HYROX, not adapted from generic CrossFit templates."
