How to Get There +

The venue is located at Bd de l'Europe, 69680 Chassieu. The nearest major airport is Lyon–Saint-Exupéry Airport (LYS), approximately a 30-40 minute drive. Public transport from the city center is efficient: take Metro Line A towards Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie and alight at the 'Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie' station. From there, transfer to Tram T3 or T4 heading towards 'Les Granges du Pin' and get off at 'Décines Grand Large'. The venue is a short walk from the tram stop. Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available throughout Lyon.

City Guide: Lyon +

Expected weather in May: 10-18°C (50-64°F), 60-75% humidity

For athletes competing in Lyon, securing accommodation near the Chassieu venue is key. Consider staying in the neighborhoods of La Part-Dieu, which offers excellent transport links and amenities, or Villeurbanne, a vibrant adjacent district. Both areas provide a range of hotels and apartments suitable for athletes. When it comes to dining, Lyon is a gastronomic paradise. Explore the "bouchons" for traditional Lyonnaise cuisine – hearty, authentic dishes perfect for pre- or post-race refueling. Areas like Vieux Lyon (Old Lyon) are packed with charming restaurants, while the Presqu'île offers more contemporary dining experiences. Look for establishments serving regional specialties like quenelles or saucisson brioché.

Flexible Training Schedule

What your training plan covers

A HYROX race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.

Pure Running

Running makes up more than 50% of a HYROX race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 8 km of running.

Functional Station Training

Targeted strength and conditioning for the 8 HYROX stations. Sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls, and SkiErg.

Compromised Running

The true separator in HYROX. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.

"I was skeptical about another fitness app, but TrainRox is different. It's built specifically for HYROX, not adapted from generic CrossFit templates."
