Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available from the airport and throughout the city, providing a direct route to the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos.

City Guide: Málaga +

Expected weather in April: 12-19°C (54-66°F), 70-80% humidity

For athletes heading to Málaga, staying near the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos is convenient. The Cruz de Humilladero district, where the venue is located, offers a range of accommodation options, as does the nearby El Ejido neighborhood, known for its student population and lively atmosphere. When hunger strikes, explore the tapas bars scattered throughout these areas for authentic Spanish flavors. Look for local spots offering 'espetos' (sardines grilled on skewers) along the coast if you venture towards the beach. For a sit-down meal, consider restaurants in the Soho district, which is a short distance away and offers a more modern culinary scene.

Flexible Training Schedule

What your training plan covers

A HYROX race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.

Pure Running

Running makes up more than 50% of a HYROX race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 8 km of running.

Functional Station Training

Targeted strength and conditioning for the 8 HYROX stations. Sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls, and SkiErg.

Compromised Running

The true separator in HYROX. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.

"I was skeptical about another fitness app, but TrainRox is different. It's built specifically for HYROX, not adapted from generic CrossFit templates."
