How to Get There +

Vigo Airport (VGO) is a few minutes by car from IFEVI. Santiago de Compostela (SCQ) and Porto (OPO) airports are about 1 and 1.5 hours away by road. Trains arrive at Vigo Urzáiz (high-speed lines from Madrid and Santiago) and Vigo Guixar. From the centre, a taxi or ride-share to IFEVI takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The venue has its own parking.

City Guide: Vigo +

Expected weather in December: 7-13°C (45-55°F), 80-85% humidity

IFEVI sits out by the airport in Cotogrande, away from the centre, so most athletes stay in town and take a taxi to the venue. The city centre around Príncipe and Urzáiz is the easiest base, with the train stations and most hotels close by.

For food, head to the Casco Vello, the old town above the port. Rúa da Pescadería is known for fresh oysters served at outdoor stalls, and the surrounding streets are full of Galician taverns serving pulpo á feira, empanada and seafood rice.

Flexible Training Schedule

What your training plan covers

A HYBRID DAY race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.

Pure Running

Running makes up more than 50% of a HYBRID DAY race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 8 km of running.

Functional Station Training

Targeted strength and conditioning for the 8 HYBRID DAY stations. SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls.

Compromised Running

The true separator in HYBRID DAY. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.

"I was skeptical about another fitness app, but TrainRox is different. It's built specifically for hybrid racing, not adapted from generic CrossFit templates."
