News & UpdatesThe Spanish Triathlon Federation has officially crowned its first Hyatlón champions. The circuit held its inaugural event at the indoor athletics track at Gallur in Madrid, with an individual H6 of six 1,000 m runs and the HYROX stations minus the Sled Pull and Farmers Carry. Manuela García Caparrós won Elite women ahead of Sandra Domínguez Chávez and Patricie Viadel Turjanicová, and Pedro Antonio Toral won Elite men ahead of Pablo Sánchez and Alejandro Pareja. The following day, 256 doubles pairs and seven relay teams joined the competition. FETRI president José Hidalgo described these first stops as a learning curve, with the federation listening to athlete feedback. Susana Alonso raced it and filmed the experience in a vlog. Reporting via MARCA. HYROX co-founders Christian Toetzke and Moritz Fürste have invested in XENOM and will join its board. The partnership, which follows the founders taking majority control of HYROX, includes strategic cooperation on education, marketing, and events. XENOM CEO Keith Barlow noted that this collaboration supports the company as it builds a global events system ahead of its first international season in 2027. Toetzke called it a "very logical decision for us, because we share the same goal of making fitness the largest sport on earth," and the companies say that together HYROX and XENOM "now span the full functional fitness competitive landscape."
