How to Get There +

The National Speed Skating Oval is accessible via Beijing's extensive subway system. Take Line 14 to the State Sports Stadium (Olympic Green) station, which is the closest stop to the venue. From the station, it's a short walk to the National Speed Skating Oval. Taxis and ride-sharing services are also readily available throughout the city and can be a convenient alternative, though traffic can be heavy. Driving and parking at the venue may be limited, so public transport is generally recommended for ease of access on race day.

City Guide: Beijing +

Expected weather in September: 15-25°C (59-77°F), 55-75% humidity

For athletes competing at the National Speed Skating Oval, consider staying in the surrounding Chaoyang District. This bustling area offers a wide range of accommodation options, from luxury hotels to serviced apartments, often within a short distance of the venue. Look for hotels near Olympic Park for convenience. When it comes to dining, Chaoyang District is a culinary paradise. Explore authentic Peking Duck restaurants for a classic Beijing experience, or venture into areas like Sanlitun for a vibrant mix of international cuisine, trendy cafes, and lively bars. Numerous local eateries serving delicious noodles, dumplings, and stir-fries are also readily available, providing fuel for your race preparation and recovery.

Flexible Training Schedule

What your training plan covers

A HYROX race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.

Pure Running

Running makes up more than 50% of a HYROX race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 8 km of running.

Functional Station Training

Targeted strength and conditioning for the 8 HYROX stations. Sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls, and SkiErg.

Compromised Running

The true separator in HYROX. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.

"I was skeptical about another fitness app, but TrainRox is different. It's built specifically for HYROX, not adapted from generic CrossFit templates."
