How to Get There +
Athens International Airport (ATH) is the main gateway, with travel to the city center typically taking around 40-50 minutes via the Metro.
From the airport, take the Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) directly towards Agia Marina. Alight at the Evangelismos station, which is a short walk from the venue. Alternatively, taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available from the airport and offer a convenient, though potentially more expensive, option to reach the Athens venue.
City Guide: Athens +
Expected weather in September: 18-26°C (64-79°F), 55-65% humidity
For those traveling to Athens for HYROX 2026, securing accommodation near the venue will be key for a stress-free race weekend. Explore areas like Ilisia or Pangrati, which offer a good balance of proximity and local charm, with various hotel options available. These districts are also well-connected, making travel to and from the venue straightforward.
When it comes to dining, you'll be spoilt for choice. Within these neighborhoods, you'll find numerous tavernas serving traditional Greek cuisine – think souvlaki, moussaka, and fresh salads. For a more modern twist, look for restaurants offering contemporary Mediterranean dishes. Don't miss the opportunity to try Greek coffee or a refreshing freddo espresso at a local kafenio before or after your race.

What your training plan covers
A HYROX race demands more than just running or lifting. Our training plans balance three types of work so you arrive race-ready for every lap and every station.
Pure Running
Running makes up more than 50% of a HYROX race. We build your aerobic base and pacing strategy so you can hold a strong pace across all 8 km of running.
Functional Station Training
Targeted strength and conditioning for the 8 HYROX stations. Sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls, and SkiErg.
Compromised Running
The true separator in HYROX. We program running intervals on fatigued legs to simulate the demands of running immediately after completing a station.
"I was skeptical about another fitness app, but TrainRox is different. It's built specifically for HYROX, not adapted from generic CrossFit templates."
