HYROX Mixed Relay Invitational 2026: The 20 Teams Heading to Stockholm

The qualification window has closed. Here are the 20 nations racing for Mixed Relay Invitational glory at the HYROX World Championships in Stockholm on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

The qualification window has closed and the field is set. On Sunday, June 21, 2026, twenty nations will line up at Strawberry Arena in Stockholm to contest the Mixed Relay Invitational at the HYROX World Championships, the headline team event of the weekend and the first running of the format under the new nation-based qualification system.

This isn't the standard Team Relay where four club mates split a course between them. The Invitational pits the best individual performer of each gender against everyone else's best, two men and two women per nation, racing as one unit. Seedings are set by the National Performance Index, which combines each athlete's best five Singles results into a single nation total — see how the points system works and the full Mixed Relay qualification breakdown for the mechanics behind these numbers.

The field below is what twelve months of Singles racing across four continents produced. Captains, the highest-ranked athlete on each team, are marked (C).

What to watch

The top of the table is tight. Less than 40 NPI points separate USA, Germany, England, and Australia. From there a clear gap opens before Spain leads the chasing pack. Sweden enters as the 18th seed but races on home soil, and Mexico carries the Americas regional slot into the field.

Schedule

  • 📅 Date: Sunday, June 21, 2026
  • 🕢 Start time: 7:45 pm local
  • 📍 Venue: Strawberry Arena, Stockholm, Sweden
  • 🏆 Event: PUMA HYROX World Championships 2026

Final start lists, leg orders, and broadcast details will land closer to race week. Until then, the seedings give us a clear top four, a tightly packed chasing pack, and a host nation hoping the Strawberry Arena crowd is worth a few NPI points it didn't have on paper.
